About

Growing up enchanted by the voices of talents like Sissel Kyrkjebø, Mario Lanza, Liz Callaway, Lea Salonga and Mary Costa, I always knew story telling and music would have a profound place in my life. I believe our voices is one of the truest catalysts of human connection and moves us like nothing else can.

I was born in Stavanger, Rogaland in Norway, which is strongly associated with names such as Harald Hårfagre (who unified the South-West of Norway around 872 and 900 A.D), Erling Skjalgsson (one of the most powerful chiefs in South-West of Norway) and his wife, Astrid Tryggvesdatter (sister of King Olav Tryggvason who was imperativ in the country’s conversion from Norse to Christianity). As with many Norwegians, our family tree stem back from the viking kings of the past which we feel sense of connection to through our story telling, cultural celebrations and even how we support our football players in a certain 2026 World Cup (Ro! Ro!). We also bring our past into the present by choosing to give our children names from old Norse origin (mine being an example of this!).

I grew up in a musically talented family and was delighted to sing in choirs and on stage from an early age. I started piano and singing lessons and decided to study music and musical theatre production at Oslo Folkehøgskole in Norway. Shortly after this, I won a session to record two songs with a full band and sound engineer in a studio in Oslo after I entered a nation-wide singing competition at the age of 18. This encouraged me to continue my training as a singer and performer whilst focusing on my passion for languages to broaden my repertoire and expand my worldview. Now, several years and five languages later, I have had the privilege of performing across Europe and the U.S. and feel very lucky to be able to combine all my areas of interest into something I love doing.

I am currently based in Oxford and London and am primarily focusing on projects in the UK. However, if you are looking for an authentic Norwegian voice and you are located outside the UK, please get in touch alternative solutions as I have both access to a home studio and professional recording studio at a relatively short notice.
